A long weekend and it was time for a hillstation tour as the heat and humidity in Delhi was unbearable this August 2009. As to all hillstations nearby were ventured many a time we had to check out a new place, yes this time it was Manali.

There are three routes to access Manali from Shimla. One route is 267 kms which is rugged and the way has meadow topped undulations of the 10,000 foot plus Jalori pass. By the second route a drive of 298 kms one has to cross the steamy springs of Taptapani. The third route is via the Ghaggas and the Sundernagar to Pandoh is the one we took and I write about here.
